How to download and set up the ADS wallet?

ADS Wallet is an easy-to-use browser extension wallet for interacting with the ADS Blockchain. ADS Wallet provides integration with internal and external services connected to Adshares network. It is a convenient, free, open-source client-side tool. In order to create your new ADS Wallet extension, you should follow the steps below: 

Step 1: Download ADS Wallet extension 

  1. Go to the adshares.net page;

  1. Click on the button Explore and choose Wallet (you will be redirected to the Wallet page);

  1. Scroll down to the section “How to use ADS Wallet” and choose the browser that you are using. Choose from: Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Brave;

  1. After clicking on the relevant icon, you will be redirected to the web store;

  1. Click on the Add/Download/Get button (depending on the chosen browser);

  1. If Add “ADS Wallet” popup appears, click on the button Add extension;

  1. Click on the Extension icon on your browser and pin ADS Wallet;

  1. Done, now you have ADS Wallet extension in your toolbar. 

Step 2: Set up ADS Wallet 

  1. Open the ADS Wallet extension in your browser’s toolbar;

  1. On the appeared popup click on the button Start;

  1. Follow the password setup instructions and click Next;

  1. Read the Terms of Use and click Accept;

  1. Write down carefully mnemonic seed phrase which comprises 12 random words (you will need it in case you lose your laptop or need to import your ADS Wallet to a new device) and click Save to proceed. More about how to restore ADS wallet from seed phrase, you will find here;

  1. It will take a few seconds to configure your ADS Wallet;

  1. If you already have an account, click on Import account. If you are using ADS Wallet for the first time, choose Get free account option;

  1. Done, your ADS Wallet was set up successfully. Now you can receive, send and wrap your ADS Coins. More about how to wrap ADS Coins, you will find here.
